Emma Wiggins began her dance training at the early age of four at Civic Dance Center in Bakersfield, California. As a member of the Imagine Ballet Company she had the opportunity to perform at the Regional Dance America Pacific festival and was recognized as an honor student from her company.
She continued her dance training at the University of California, Irvine and graduated in 2017 with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance, magna cum laude, and a B.A. in Education Sciences with a Specialization in Children’s Learning and Development, summa cum laude. During her time at UC Irvine, Emma had the opportunity to work closely with Donald McKayle for three years as a member of his Etude Ensemble, and with Lar Lubovitch as a featured soloist in his re-staging of The Legend of Ten (2010). As a founding member of Reborn Dance Interactive in 2015, Emma performed with the company for four years and additionally held the role of Rehearsal Director in 2019. She also received her Pilates certification through Studio Du Corps, Pilates Center of Orange County, and enjoys teaching and practicing this technique as cross-training. Emma continues to teach both dance and Pilates classes and is eager to keep sharing her knowledge and passion with younger generations of dancers.
