Tuition & Fees

    There is a $30 annual registration fee per student that must accompany the registration form in order to reserve a student’s place in class. Our year is based on ten months of tuition- August through May. If you register you are considered to be with us for the full term. The first and last month’s tuition (May) must be paid before the student enters the school. All other eight months (Sept-April) are due on the 15th of the month regardless of what day the 15th falls. WE DO NOT SEND MONTHLY STATEMENTS EXCEPT TO OVERDUE ACCOUNTS. Monthly tuition is figured on an average number of classes that you take per month. Tuition is the same if the studio is closed for a holiday or if your child misses a lesson; therefore, we do not charge extra when there are five lessons a month. Tuition for additional immediate family members living in the same household will be discounted 25%. Individual classes may be taken, and private lessons may be scheduled through the office. Please check with the school for monthly tuition rates.
    Students are encouraged to study more than one form of dance. Experience has proven that students taking two or more forms of dance progress at a much greater speed and have a longer interest period. Because of this, the tuition is considerably less for those taking two or more classes per week.

    Students should only add or drop a class at the beginning of each month since tuition will not be prorated. If at any time you need to withdraw you must NOTIFY THE OFFICE IN WRITING prior to the month of withdrawal. Non attendance is not considered withdrawal from class. Monthly charges continue and tuition due until we receive written notification of withdrawal. If a student drops mid-year, May tuition will not be refunded due to that student took up a spot in class that another student could have had for the entire year.

Recital Expenses . . .

    Students will purchase one recital costume for each class they are enrolled in. Since costumes are ordered at the first of December, a costume deposit will be due in November with the remaining balances due in January. All families will also be charged a recital fee in February that assists in the tremendous financial undertaking that D.S.D assumes when producing a production of this magnitude. Additional students in a family will be charged a discounted rate for their recital fee. This fee includes 5 general admission tickets for the recital for each family and for all class pictures to be in the recital program. Other optional recital related costs include: program ads that feature individual students, pictures, t-shirts, videos, recital souvenirs, and additional tickets if needed..

Other Fees . . . 

   There is a $25.00 charge for all returned checks. Students must be picked up promptly after a class or a $10.00 fee will be charged to your account  if you are more than 15 minutes late. (This is to pay the teacher who stayed late with your child.)
